Fortaegis is a fast-scaling, highly ambitious and cutting-edge semiconductor company. We are looking for a Product Engineer to act as the technical bridge between customers and engineering teams, ensuring Fortaegis products meet customer requirements, performance expectations, and market needs.

Job requirements

• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of networking, encryption, cybersecurity, secure communications, hardware security, and enterprise infrastructure.

• Product Definition: Ability to translate customer requirements into technical specifications and engineering requirements.

• Systems Architecture: Experience designing, reviewing, or validating complex system architectures involving software, hardware, networking, or security technologies.

• Customer Interaction: Comfortable discussing technical requirements directly with customers, technical architects, and engineering teams.

• Problem Solving: Ability to identify gaps between customer expectations and product capabilities and drive resolution.

• Validation & Testing: Experience supporting product validation, performance testing, interoperability, testing, or proof-of-concept activities.

• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in both customer-facing and engineering-facing environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with ASIC, FPGA, semiconductor products, or hardware security technologies.

• Knowledge of Root of Trust, HSM, PUF, PQC, secure boot, attestation, or cryptographic systems.

• Experience supporting telecom, defence, critical infrastructure, or industrial customers.

• Experience creating technical specifications, product requirements documents (PRDs), and technical whitepapers.

Job responsibilities

• Capture requirements from Japanese customers and translate them into product specifications and engineering requirements (product definition).

• Feed customer and market input into the product roadmap, and help prioritize features for the Japan market.

• Design, review, and validate system architectures across software, hardware, networking, and security.

• Support product validation, performance testing, and interoperability testing.

• Identify gaps between customer expectations and product capabilities, and drive resolution with the engineering team.

• Prepare technical specifications, PRDs, and technical whitepapers.
