Fortaegis is a fast-scaling, highly ambitious and cutting-edge semiconductor company. We are looking for a highly skilled and client-facing Cyber Security Consulting Engineer to join our dynamic Consulting Engineering team.
We are looking for candidates with not only an exceptional skillset, but also an exceptional mindset, willing to go above and beyond to make our security consulting practice even better. In this role, you will work with enterprise clients across various industries to assess, design, and implement robust security solutions that protect against evolving cyber threats, serving as a trusted advisor who combines deep technical expertise with strong consulting skills.
Job requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering or consulting
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, OSCP, CEH, GCIH (one or more required)
Strong technical expertise in network security, endpoint protection, cloud security, and identity & access management
Experience with security tools such as CrowdStrike, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Okta, Microsoft Sentinel, Juniper (HPE), etc.
Proven experience delivering consulting engagements to mid-market and enterprise clients
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and executive audiences
Preferred Skills & Attributes
Experience with regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOX)
Hands-on experience in cloud-native security and DevSecOps practices
Knowledge of threat modeling, Secure SDLC, and application security
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements
High level of networking experience working with Telecom, Cable, and/or Hyperscalers
High degree of professionalism, client-service orientation, and business acumen
Job responsibilities
Lead technical security assessments, gap analyses, and risk assessments for clients
Design, implement, and optimize cybersecurity architectures, controls, and solutions
Provide expert guidance on security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, FIPS, etc.)
Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and red team exercises
Support clients with incident response planning, tabletop exercises, and post-incident remediation
Implement and manage security technologies including firewalls, EDR/XDR, SIEM, IAM, Cloud Security (AWS, Azure, GCP), and Zero Trust models
Deliver high-quality client presentations, reports, and security roadmaps
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, project management, and delivery) to scope and execute projects successfully
Stay current with the latest threat intelligence, attack techniques, and defensive technologies
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of internal methodologies and best practices
